About Me

Dr. William H. Wilson Jr. is a Doctor of Chiropractic with three decades of experience spanning both corporate and private practice. He built his career in New Orleans around a simple idea: that care should be affordable, gentle, and grounded in supporting the body’s own capacity to function well.

In 2004 he received a mayoral appointment to the New Orleans Regional AIDS Planning Council, where he served on the body responsible for the allocation of Ryan White program funding across the region. The appointment reflected a long-standing commitment to public health service alongside his clinical work.

He is also a published writer. His articles The Anthrax Scare (October 2001) and Aids: A Necessary Reconsideration (April 2001) examined public health questions of the moment, and in October 2022 he co-authored a handbook on natural care approaches to wellness and recovery.

Education

Doctor of Chiropractic, Life Chiropractic University, Marietta, Georgia (1987). Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition, Norfolk University (1982). His nutrition training informs a wholistic approach that considers diet and lifestyle alongside structural care.

Practice Focus

Dr. Wilson practices non-force chiropractic technique, a gentle approach suited to patients who prefer or require low-impact adjustment. His office also offers heat and cold therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, combination therapy, electrical muscle stimulation, knee and extremity care, and joint care combining manipulation, bracing, and nutritional support.

He has extensive experience with personal injury cases and has been qualified as an expert witness in Orleans and St. Bernard Parishes.
